With the release of the Warner Brothers motion picture Why Do Fools Fall In Love, in the summer
of 1998, interest was re-kindled in Frankie Lymon &  the Teenagers.  In the 1950's, the youngsters
proved that teens could sing their own music and smash through social and ethnic barriers. With
their first million selling crossover hit Why Do Fools Fall In Love, they influenced, inspired and
opened the doors for Michael  Jackson, the Jackson 5, Madonna, Paul Simon, Diana Ross & the
Supremes, the Temptations, Ronnie Dyson, Take 6, Ronnie Spector, Billy Joel, Boys II Men, and  
Ringo Starr; as publicly attested to by these artists.

The first Rock n Roll/Pop act to succeed internationally, the Teenagers took the country of Panama
by storm and  had the distinct honor of representing Americas new music before the Queen of
England, in a Command Performance during their ground breaking engagement at the famed
London Palladium.

A Teenagers still appear throughout the world, having  performed to standing ovations for
thousands of adoring fans in two return visits to the United Kingdom, in the mid 1990's and again in
2002.    People came from as faraway as Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Paris  and Australia
tosee these musical innovators

The group has appeared in three motion pictures; Rock, Rock, Rock, Mister Rock n Roll, both with
Alan Freed and Joey. Their songs have also been featured on the soundtracks of such
blockbusters as American Graffiti and American Hot Wax.

August 28, 1998 saw the release of  Warner Bros./Rhinos biopic Why Do Fools Fall In Love
starring Halle Berry, Vivica A. Fox, Lela Rochon, Larenz Tate, Little Richard, Ben Vereen and Paul
Mazursky.

The Teenagers have also been the subject of a PBS documentary, I Promise To Remember, a
1999 cable television profile, a BBC Special,The Song, released in 1996 and shown extensively
throughout Europe. Proving that they are truly multi-faceted, they've also starred in their own
Off-Broadway   musical revue entitled Why Do Fools Fall In Love.

Nominated for the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame every year from its inception, they were finally
accorded that prestigious honor by being inducted in Los Angeles in January of 1993.  This was
followed in February 1994 by a Star being placed on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They are also
proud members of the United In Group Harmony (U.G.H.A.) Hall of Fame. In October 2000, the
Teenagers were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and on March 29, 2002, the group
was inducted into the Doo Wopp Hall of Fame of America.

Frankie Lymons Legendary Teenagers were proud to be a part of the groundbreaking PBS
blockbuster Doo Wop 51" which debuted around the country on December 2, 2000.
